PHP has the hooks available, the extension to use it though just isn't enabled as part of the default PHP install for some reason. To do so I configure my web.conifg according to this so there is no issue related to web.config and there is no session timeout issue occur. Could you please do me a big favor?

after some investigation it turned out that uploadify has some difficulties with https connections since it is flash based. Set this settings in php.ini or in .htaccess. That could potentially amount to alot of bandwidth though alan thanks for the quick reply!
